Position Title: Purchasing Generalist Assistant

Wage: $18-$22/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday

QPS is looking for a Purchasing Generalist Assistant for a client in Mukwonago, WI. If you have a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as a team, we would like to talk with you! This is a direct hire opportunity.

Purchasing Generalist Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Materials Team with expediting materials
- Assist with shop floor paperwork and dispatch lists
- Help Buyers maintain order acknowledgments and update past due purchase orders
- Work with Buyers returning non-conforming material that needs to be sent back to suppliers and tracked
- Indirect purchase orders including shop and maintenance supplies
- Help to formulate a better VMI system
- Work with production planning to align paint schedule
- Administrative help on Six Sigma Black Belt Projects

Purchasing Generalist Assistant Requirements:
- 1+ years of purchasing experience required
- 1+ years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and have discerning attention to detail
- Driven to take each situation from beginning to end, take ownership of their projects
- Excellent communication skills, strong negotiating skills, and ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with Excel and Word required, and JD Edwards preferred
