Meat Procurement Manager

Located in : Philadelphia Metro Area

Salary : Starts at $120,000

A leading food manufacturer is looking for a skilled supply chain manager to lead procurement, logistics and inventory management for meat products.

The Meat Procurement Manager will be responsible for…

• Procurement : source new and manage meat supplier relationships across international markets.
• Logistics : oversee import/export and customs operations and ensure quality/compliance requirements are met.
• Inventory management : forecast/analyze historical sales data and market trends to optimize stock levels and ensure inventory.
• Provide market expertise in the meat industry domestically and internationally to the sales team and other stakeholders.

The ideal Meat Procurement Manager should have…

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years in supply chain management, purchasing, procurement, logistics or inventory management.
• Meat industry experience required.
• International procurement experience.
• Knowledge of import/export/logistics regulations and compliance.
• Supplier management and negotiation skills with international suppliers.
• Proficiency in Excel, market analysis tools
• Strong market/industry knowledge.
• Ability to create and executive effective supply chain strategies across procurement, logistics, inventory management, etc.
• Bonus- familiarity with SQF standards and audit requirements
