Position overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian to join our team at our manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the production facility to support a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and be comfortable working in an industrial setting. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting throughout the production and common areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break areas, offices, and locker rooms. Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with plant procedures. Conduct light maintenance duties as assigned, including changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and reporting facility repair needs. Clean around and under manufacturing equipment, which may require crawling in confined spaces. Access elevated areas, including climbing ladders or standing on platforms or machinery to ensure thorough cleaning. Follow all plant safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with snow removal, floor care, or other seasonal or special cleaning projects as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience is a plus. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. Must be able to work in enclosed spaces and at heights safely. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Location: This position will require you to work onsite in Havre de Grace, MD.
