Responsibilities:
- Patient preparation and positioning for various imaging procedures.
- Operation of X-ray equipment and other imaging modalities.
- Image acquisition and processing adhering to hospital protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses).
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Performing quality control checks on equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active X-Ray Technician license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Proficient in operating X-ray equipment.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Knowledge of different imaging modalities (e.g., fluoroscopy, CT).
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience with various types of patients (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics).
Special Considerations:
- Shift start times vary from 7 am to 12 pm, with potential for graveyard shifts (9:30 pm or 10 pm).
- Every other weekend work is required.
- Floating between units is required.
- Block scheduling may be possible, per manager discretion.
- New graduates are accepted.
- RTO must be included at time of submission.
