Job Description

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin TX, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • Experience in supporting a live Web Application, has ability to read/understand code, and has experience in building application alerts and monitoring.
  • Perform troubleshooting/debugging, issue triaging and perform defect fixes and enhancements to appliances.
  • Coordinate application maintenance activities like OS upgrade, Disaster Recovery exercises, etc.,
  • Server as 24 X 7 production support team on rotation
  • Analyze and resolve application issues in production
  • Experience in logging and monitoring tools like Splunk and AppDynamics (building dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts for early determination of the issues)
  • Experience in Messaging middleware solutions like MQ and Kafka
  • Good understanding of F5, GTM/LTM, network and routing.
  • Good knowledge of Databases - SQL server/Aerospike/Postgres
  • Good judgement and ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Knowledge on Web technologies: languages, frameworks, techniques, industry trends etc., (preferably.NET)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work with team leads/client managers to design and implement process improvements in our Production Services and Operations.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture: application layer, database layer, network layer
  • Experience in writing automation scripts (PowerShell/Python).
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment.
  • Flexibility to support all contingencies and shift priorities.
  • Exposure to CI/CD
  • Exposure to Batch Job process, schedule (preferably using Control-M)
  • The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
