Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the financial analysis of specialized insurers, structured finance and other entities related to the convergence of capital markets and insurance
Responsibilities:
• Take the lead in rating select insurance companies and securities
• Assist with research and initiatives related to mortgages, insurance company impairments and other specialized topics
• Help maintain and document compliance related and operating standards and procedures
• Assist with surveillance of current transactions, including the re-modeling process
• Assist with the verifying critical elements of the Financial guarantor, CDO, and Life Settlements Models, assuring that assumptions are consistent across various models
Qualifications of this position include:
• 5+ years of Financial Analysis experience in an insurance company, rating agency or financial institution is required.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced degree or professional designation is preferred (CFA, Actuarial, MBA, ACAS, etc.)
• Aptitude for quantitative/statistical methods.
• Experience with Matlab for modeling purposes.
• Strong knowledge of property/casualty actuarial methods.
