Dallas-Fort Worth Area (Remote)

HudsonLake is currently seeking a passionate, agency-trained Senior Art Director to join our award-winning, in-house creative team. You will focus on developing compelling and conceptual visual solutions for high-profile clients in all media — paid, owned, earned and digital. You will be responsible for day-to-day creative work as well as helping to oversee a team of designers, art directors, animators and vendor partners. You should be excellent at building bridges with our clients and account teams. You will be strong in strategy, concepting, design, presenting, and above all else, bringing ideas to life in visually stunning and persuasive ways.

You’ll report to the Chief Creative Officer. While the role is remote, we prefer candidates based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where we have a strong client presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy with the account teams and turn it into strong visual and persuasive concepts in all media.
  • Build strong relationships with our account teams.
  • Be proactive on all calls, pitch ideas confidently and present them clearly to clients, as well as communicate in the same manner to your creative partners.
  • Lead creative project teams and provide creative direction, guidance and mentorship.
  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with account teams as a true strategic and client partner.
  • Ensure visuals, messaging and interactive elements of a project are properly aligned with the creative vision, brand standards and high quality our clients deserve.
  • Establish schedules for short- and long-term projects, plan jobs accordingly and ensure goals and deadlines are met.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
  • Utilize forward-thinking new technologies, like AI, in the development of creative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Holds a fine arts degree or an undergraduate degree in graphic design, visual communication, typography or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Has 5+ years of art direction experience working on complex communications issues in all media and in an agency environment.
  • Have strong supervisory, people management and leadership skills.
  • Understands today’s media landscape — especially video and motion graphics.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate creative vision, concepts, ideas and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams and clients.
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Exhibits knowledge of AI and emerging technologies — highly preferred but not required.
  • Resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
