Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services, maintaining accurate supplier records, and fostering strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and capable of collaborating across departments to meet procurement needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing purchase orders and monitoring order statuses to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delivery delays, and pricing concerns.
  • Maintain and update supplier and product databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand and support procurement requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all purchasing activities in accordance with company policies.

Preferred Qualifications, Technical Skills, Soft Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
