We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a mid-level Archaeology Technician III for immediate employment. This remote opportunity will report to our Portland and or/ Chico, CA offices. This is a part-time, on-call position meaning workdays and times will be determined on an as-needed project basis. The Archaeological Technician primarily performs fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator. **Field projects will primarily be located in the PNW (Oregon and Washington State).** Candidates will need flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff. + May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites. + Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation. + Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories under supervision. **About AECOM's Environment Business Line** Join AECOM to be part of an expert global team who is connected through a well-developed, worldwide, internal technical practice network through which you can learn from and brainstorm with the best in the world. Our global clients and their projects span a variety of market sectors and geographies and require innovative technical solutions to solve wide-ranging environmental problems. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School graduate plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork. + Valid Driver's License with a good driving record as travel will be required for this role. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field. + 5+ years of experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring. + Completion of an archaeological field school is high desired. + Experience with Geospatial technology including GPS and GIS. + Computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office. **Additional Information** + Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
