Job Summary:
The Fuel & Lube Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a fuel/lube service truck to provide fueling, lubrication, and basic maintenance services to heavy equipment and vehicles on construction sites. This role ensures machinery operates efficiently by delivering necessary fluids and performing preventive maintenance checks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safely operate a fuel/lube service truck to transport and dispense fuel, oil, grease, and other fluids to construction equipment.
· Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation.
· Maintain accurate records of fuel and lubricant distribution, including mileage, fuel logs, and service reports.
· Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies when handling and transporting hazardous materials.
· Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, greasing fittings, and changing filters.
· Report any equipment malfunctions, leaks, or needed repairs to the maintenance team.
· Ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of tools, hoses, and equipment on the truck.
· Communicate with supervisors, equipment operators, and mechanics to coordinate service schedules and respond to fueling needs.
· Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and environmental safety regulations regarding fuel handling and hazardous materials transport.
· Responsible for oil changes, fueling, and lubrication of equipment and vehicles in the field.
· Assist in maintenance of equipment and vehicles and record keeping.
· Coordinate and communicate needed repairs on equipment & vehicles.
· Responsible for safe operation and securing equipment and vehicles.
· Maintain tools as required to perform job.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with necessary endorsements
o Hazmat and Tanker
· Experience operating fuel/lube trucks and working with construction or heavy equipment preferred.
· Knowledge of fueling procedures, lubricants, and minor equipment maintenance.
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically handle hoses and equipment.
· Strong attention to safety, detail, and compliance with regulations.
· Good communication and record-keeping
