The Willow Ambulatory Analyst III gathers and analyzes user needs to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Epic Willow Ambulatory for the hospital's pharmacy operations. This role involves complex application support, documentation, and configuration to transition from the legacy RX30 system to Epic Willow Ambulatory, with a target go-live of Spring 2026. The analyst will propose solutions, build and modify applications, and provide technical guidance to ensure a seamless implementation and operational efficiency.

  • Conduct application and impact analysis for new workflows, processes, or system changes, ensuring alignment with pharmacy operations.
  • Provide complex application support to end users (e.g., pharmacists, pharmacy technicians) and technical guidance to less experienced team members, serving as a point of contact for resolving complex issues.
  • Lead or participate in the discovery phase (mapping current to future state), build phase (Epic configuration and vendor interface development), testing phase (validating build and connectivity), training phase (end-user communication and training), and go-live phase (command center support).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including application specifications, analytical reports, training manuals, and status reports.
  • Make recommendations for system enhancements, integration with other applications, and process improvements to support pharmacy workflows.
  • Participate in or lead project planning, including estimating costs, timelines, and staffing requirements for the Willow Ambulatory implementation.
  • Validate application designs under change management protocols and assist in developing departmental policies and procedures for clinical application use.
  • Mentor and train staff, transferring knowledge on application functionality, design standards, and problem-solving techniques.
