Position Title: Barista Support (with potential to advance to Barista)

Position Reports To: Café Manager

Responsibilities:

• Assist certified baristas in beverage preparation and daily tasks.
• Prepare hot and cold drinks according to customer preferences.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Interact with customers professionally and courteously.
• Maintain knowledge of current offerings and confidently communicate product information.
• Participate in tastings to enhance product knowledge and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Educate customers on our coffee and tea selections.
• Attend training sessions to advance coffee, tea, and espresso bar skills.
• Provide outstanding customer service according to company standards.
• Proactively address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the store.

Qualifications:

• Previous barista experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• High integrity with a strong attendance record.
• Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Open to constructive feedback.
• Ability to work independently and remain accountable.
• Adaptability to schedule changes when needed.

Schedule and Compensation:

• We are hiring for both part- and full-time positions, with a priority for candidates seeking long-term, full-time employment.
• Candidates with open availability and willingness to filling in shifts are preferred.
• Part-time position starting at 15-20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 25-30 hours.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Average tips range between $7-$9 per hour, with expected growth.
• This position offers the opportunity for career advancement within our company, with potential progression to roles such as Lead Barista or Assistant Manager as you gain experience and demonstrate leadership potential.
